How to cook the best basmati rice ever. Easy trick Ingredients: (You can find most of the ingredients at pakistani/indian/bangladesh stores) 3 cups basmati rice Salt ½ teaspoon Knorr chicken cube (optional) – use a little more salt if you don’t use this Red chili powder ½ teaspoon ½ teaspoon five spices (garam masala) ½ teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 cardamom 1 black cardamom Few pieces of black pepper Half stick cinnamon Few pieces of fennel seeds for good smell. 1 small size tomato 2-3 garlic cloves Medium size onion Half cup oil Steps: 1. Before cooking, soak rice in water for 30 min 2. Rinse the rice 2-3 times 3. While waiting for the rice, Put in the oil and onion pieces into a pot and cook the onions until they are golden brown. 4. While waiting for the onions, blend the garlic and tomato, put some water with the garlic and tomato, so it’s easier to blend 5. When the onion is golden brown, add the garlic and tomato paste. Also add the rest of the things and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on low heat 6. After 4-5 minutes when you see everything is cooked, add the rice 7. Then add 5 cups of water 8. After adding the water let it cook on medium heat for 10 -15 minutes 9. Put a paper towel on the lid of the pot and on low heat leave it for 10 minutes 10. After 10 min, turn of the stove and leave the rice for another 10 minutes 11. So the rice is ready! All you have to do now is enjoy
